I'm So On Your Mind

...more like, I'm So Buzzed.

I had a whole bottle of white wine from OL' GAY FRANCE. SEMILLION SAUVIGNON FROm BORDEAUX TO BE EXACT.

I am also listening to some house music mixed by my homie PABLO. GOOOOOOD STUFF.

At first, the wine had no effect one me. None. Nada. Zilch. Zip. Zippo. Lighter.

But after about 10 minutes (after finishing the bottle), WOOO. Attack of the buzzcocks.

Flippy Floopydy FOOOOO.

I'm crazay.

I can't believe I'm going home in a month. It is quite scary.

I will miss Swansea a lot.

shit i wish i was drinking that bottle with you. So here's a recap of my family's wine adventures of this weekend:

Yesterday night we went out to Las Brisas for dinner. This place is awesome for breakfast buffet (the best omelet bar EVEEEERR), but even more so for dinner (heavier swipe outta your wallet of course). Twas my mom's birthday. My dad ordered a nice bottle of Simi Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (my mom's jaw dropped). Our wonderful (really really cool) waiter served the wine just like a pro. It was wonderful, except that he asked me at the last minute if I was 21 yet, and I had to be honest and said no, I will be in a month or so, and he looked sorry as he put my glass away. I still sneaked from my sister's glass (she got quite tipsy, hehe). Okay. So we polished that wine off almost before the entrees arrived. Maybe it had to do with the fact that the glasses were huge and the waiter poured like the fullest glasses I've ever seen, for all 3.

We came back home and we had more wine from Italy. It was okay...I don't think we're getting that one anymore.

Today, with sushi for dinner, my parents opened a bottle of Bordeaux from France (Chateaux Armens?)...I got a small bit of it. IT was wonderful, really dry, full taste, not that smooth but really kind of rugged...in that Bordeaux way I guess. I dunno, definitely reminded me of the wine I had in Normandy last summer...that I kinda miss now (but was hard getting used to at first). Then just to compare, my dad opened a bottle of "2-buck Chuck" and ... WOWWWW. Just putting my nose in a glass of the Chuck was like, whoo, am I smelling socks? I used to like the Charles Shaw Cab., but right after the Bordeaux, it was amazing how bad it seemed.

Sorry this comment is so long. I don't mean to take over your post, Jason, but I felt like I had to recount my wine adventures of the weekend because that was just about all that was interesting this weekend for me! =P Nice wine = nice future life for Jee Won...as it seems so far.
