I didn't even drink that much last night, yet I feel very hungover.
Well, I did drink a lot....cause I can't seem to find my money.
I don't understand hangovers. I get them more often when I've drank just to the point of getting DRUNK (not drunk. DRUNK.) If I go crazy and have a shitload of alcohol, I don't usually get hangovers the next day. I'm assuming that daily waking stress and/or tiredness could have a significant effect because I was extremely exhausted yesterday, pre-goingouttotownanddrinking.
Who wants to explain the anatomy of a hangover to me? haha.
or I could just google it...but no.
FOOD AWAITS!
ps: Spring break starts for me this thursday. Wooo. I love spring.

Remember when we were taught that alcohol kills brain cells and that's one of the reasons why it's bad and we should avoid it?
Sorry, I can't say it doesn't because it does, but take a tiny bit of comfort from knowing that alcohol affects the "less important" cells in your CNS first. but it does eventually kill off the important ones (your neurons) that you only have a limited number to start off with in the first place.
hangovers are due to the alcohol causing dehydration and electrolytic imbalances mostly, which precipitate the other symptoms like headaches/mental fogginess/grogginess the morning after (again, brain cells most sensitive), and the overall sense of feeling like crap as your liver work overtime to detox your blood and restore balance :P
[i just realized there's no new info here, most ppl know this right? or at least, you do :)]
but yeah, when our prof said that, everyone in lecture was like woooo, it's ok to drink!!! (but not really).
hahaha. now i know that it's kind of okay to drink since you first kill off your less important cells, but it's still bad so i shouldn't....but i still will.
as i did last night. two finals were over; my friend Doug offered to have some fun, so we got a bit drunk off of his stuff =) And damn yes it was fun. I guess I was slightly drunk when I came back, but I stayed awake for another two hours, showering and doing other random stuff and until I fell into a blissful sleep for TEN FREAKIN HOURS (that felt so good). However, I did wake up randomly at 6:30 am to walk dizzily in search of water. Fell back asleep until 11:00, and was fine. Except the tips of my fingers felt a bit funny, but no other symptoms of having drunk. I probably slept it all off.
Anyways, the point of this story is to declare that I am glad I was able to drink and not feel bad (wait, when do I ever feel bad) or guilty since I was done with finals...except that now I have a 20-30 page paper to do.
Jason, you can't find your money? Just means you spent money on drinks, right, not that you lost your wallet? I hope not.
Hmmm....
So basically, coming to Wales has made me significantly more stupid.
Damn it. hahaha.
